Thistle & Thread — Hand-Painted Vintage Shirt
I studied painting in college, always bouncing between the studio and my sewing machine—patching, altering, and breathing new life into vintage pieces. This Summer Series is a reflection of that dual love: painting and sewing, past and present woven together.
This shirt features a hand-painted thistle—symbolizing devotion, bravery, determination, and strength. These beautiful, thorny plants have surrounded me since childhood in Northern California. I’ve always admired their regal presence and respected their resilience.
